President & CEO
Chris Cunningham
Chris Cunningham is the President & CEO of Unified ConneXions, LLC, a leading provider of managed IT services, cybersecurity, IT governance, and strategic technology consulting. With more than 25 years of experience in executive technology leadership, Chris has built his career helping organizations leverage technology to achieve business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen cybersecurity resilience.
As the leader of Unified ConneXions, Chris is committed to transforming technology from a source of frustration into a strategic business asset. He works closely with business leaders, municipalities, and organizations throughout Texas and across the United States to eliminate reactive IT challenges, improve security postures, and create stable, scalable technology environments aligned with long-term business goals.
Chris is recognized for his expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, business continuity, managed services, and virtual Chief Technology Officer (vCTO) leadership. His strategic approach combines disciplined operational standards with practical business insight, enabling organizations to achieve predictable outcomes, reduce risk, and increase technology maturity.
Senior Vice President
Joe O'Daniel
Joe O'Daniel has spent more than 30 years in IT leadership. He is a highly technical engineer with deep expertise in networking, security and virtualization. He led Unified ConneXions as President & CEO for 25 years and now serves as Senior Vice President, where he continues to shape the company's technical direction and long-term vision.
Joe's career in technology began with four years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He went on to own or serve as an executive of several computer hardware and software businesses, and he spent 10 years as Director of Technology for a Dallas-area school district.
Joe pairs hands-on engineering skill with a clear view of where IT leadership should go. His focus on each client's unique needs pushes the Unified ConneXions team toward innovative, lasting solutions and exemplary service.
Senior Director of Managed Service
Jon Linsenbardt
Jon Linsenbardt leads Managed Services at UCX, overseeing the monitoring, security, and support platforms that keep client environments running around the clock. He also scopes and delivers infrastructure projects for the schools, local governments, healthcare providers, and businesses UCX serves.
Jon brings nearly three decades of IT experience to the role. His roots are in virtualization, and he still works hands-on in VMware vSphere and Horizon environments, enterprise storage, and network troubleshooting. He pairs that with deep Microsoft expertise spanning Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and the Power Platform. Clients and colleagues know him for tracing a problem to its root cause, whatever the size or configuration of the system.
Behind the scenes, Jon manages the toolset UCX relies on to protect its clients, from monitoring and endpoint security to vulnerability scanning. He evaluates new opportunities with a practical eye for what it takes to support a client well, and he builds the reporting and automation that help UCX run efficiently.
Director of Systems Engineering
Mark Dickson
Mark Dickson is one of Unified ConneXions' leading subject matter experts in Microsoft Enterprise and Productivity Solutions. Mark has spent more than 15 years in information technology. Since joining Unified ConneXions in 2010, he has delivered a broad range of customer solutions in enterprise integration, business intelligence, and cloud services.
Before UCX, Mark held technical and management positions in education and government institutions in North Texas.
Director of Operations
Dr. David Averett
Dr. David Averett joined UCX as Director of Operations in August 2025 following a 30-year career in public education, including 26 years in school administration. His leadership experience spans roles as teacher, assistant principal, high school principal, central-office administrator, and acting superintendent.
David brings extensive expertise in organizational leadership, operations management, communication, and crisis response—skills strengthened through decades of guiding large teams, managing complex systems, and supporting district-wide initiatives. At UCX, he uses this background to enhance operational efficiency, support strategic planning, and strengthen organizational culture. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in School Administration from West Texas A&M University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.
